This was the experience I was hoping for, no shitting around with acoustic passages like in Bergtatt (the one in Hymne I got me concerned for a while), just in-your-face assult. Drumming is crazy, and as the review points out, the bass is virtually nonexistent, but with vocals like this, who cares? It’s interesting how well this album works if you jam some intimate melancholic pop afterwards (Weyes Blood in my case), like hot chocolate after a huge bloody steak.

That piano in the final track kills me.

I forget which musician did a "my fav songs" ever and talked about the "happy" riff to whichever of these songs has the "happy" riff, but it really sold me, and the song is great
