its not a tested theory aha. I just stated that from experience. For example, the first Slayer album i ever heard was Diabolus in Musica, and I think its kicka*s, but everyone else says its there worst.

I'll agree with seetherrocker, this album is just easier to listen to than their first 2. Those two albums really take alot out of me and this one just flows really easily. I listen to this album frequently and get a kick out of it every time.

You’ve ruined this album for me, and I will tell you why by giving you a scenario. Say I was at a party, seen a girl I liked, and she liked me back. We start hitting it off and things are going great. But you decided to walk by and say, “Man, that woman has a huge nose! I mean that thing is so big, it can smell time.” So then it hits. It’s true, everything you said is true, and I can’t get it out of my head. Now every time I see that chick, all I can think about, is that damn nose of hers and all I want to do is turn away from that trunk of nose she has. There, that is what I think of your article. However, I praise the hell out of you man, great article and on the NOSE. You seem to be a great fan of theirs and I will definitely read any article you have posted. You actually did point out all the flaws as well as the successes of the album. So keep up the good work.

it was amusing, but pointless. people like different types of music... it's as simple as that. any type of review shouldn't necessarily change your mind.

it is also amazing (in the sense) for somebody to get flamed as much as they do for liking a certain type of music as wellThis Message Edited On 07.31.06

Elegantly illustrated =P. Seriously though, I do actually get what you mean and kind of agree.

Actually what sparked that entry was in fact a discussion I had with and owner of a music store. I thought it was interesting how things panned out, so I put it on this site. But do keep in mind I was actually joking about hating the album, I just notice the flaws in it now and puts me off a bit, however this album is still in my heavy rotation pile.

Awesome review and the same with the CD, just not worth waiting half a decade for it to come out

The review for this album is top-notch. The album is good from the beginning with songs Vicarious, Wings for Marie (Pt 1) and 10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2). Although there were some unessary filler in it, the album is still good. It is very beautiful and emotianal.

I concur with the 88 C Monster, but throught in some of The Pot with the goodness of the songs. Either The Pot you pick makes the album better.

pretty cool album. it's like lateralus but more expanded, more sides of lateralus...but it still has it's own sound. it's also more interesting than lateralus to me,even though lateralus has better songs.

Not enough listens or thought put into the review. This album needs time to be digested, not just 10 listens. Not the worst review I've read. Not even close. It's actually well written and nice to read. Just not great.

"hellow, it is Iai. I think he would know what he is talking about. but it is a good review"

And so do I. The first half of the review is very good but it trails off in the second half. Not a big deal, it happens with a lot of reviews. It IS a flaw in the review, though. Just because it's Iai doesn't mean the review should be considered a fact that everyone's opinion must conform to.

i can see your point, because the same thing usually happens in my reviews, but Iai knows what he is talking about a lot more than i do. i just happened to like his review. You might disagree, but this album is still good though

i would also like to add that Maynards work on APC's last album was a little prelude to his work on this album.
