My brother saw him live a few weeks ago and said that seeing Father John Misty live felt like what seeing Neil Young after releasing Harvest must have been like. The dude has an uncanny stage presence.

No way does this top Carrie & Lowell, but then again they're very different styles. This is still easily in my top 5 of the year though, either just above or just below the new album from The Decemberists.
