Best pure post-rock album besides Laughing Stock

I say "pure" because this helped invent the genre, and I slightly prefer The Mantle and Ecailles, which could both be argued are primarily post-rock/ambient, like this is.

Eh the mantle and ecailles are influenced by post rock but that doesnt qualify them to belong to the post rock tag..this album is on another lvl imo

Haven't heard The Mantle but Ecailles has barely any post-rock on it... It's primarily just blackgaze/shoegaze.

Actually I don't think I prefer this over Ecailles

I see Ecailles as a synthesis of those styles, including post-rock at times, but I guess I'd still call it blackgaze even though the final third of the album doesn't have any black metal.

Yeah blackgayz not postrock..the mantle maybe but I can feel the post rock in ashes more
