Good thread.

I just can't believe we had a Rotten Tomato super reviewer in our presence and we drove him away. Truly a low point in this site's history.

It was a very powerful move.

Dude never gave a 5.0 tho, I'd like to know what kind of music he loves. Probably Wagner or something. Oh well.

Nah, that's if he was straight libertarian. He's also agnostic/atheist. Open and close minded! With a liking for prog, a misuse of liberty, a romanticism for the past, and things which go on for far far too long.
He definitely 5'd the most recent Dream Theatre.

Yeah but the guy talked about lyrics and everytime someone does that I assume they like Wagner.

I never read this thread before either. This reviewer leaving was probably for the best haha
Some days I like this even more than Hubardo. Spirit Photography and the first half of Library Subterranean are gorgeous.

This site is just fucking discriminatory against reviewers who prefer commas to periods.
But jumping off that train, I never was able to get into Plastic House. In fact, I was so unable to get into, I haven't listened to any of Toby's stuff after it. It's exciting to have a ton of Driver's music still ahead of me.

Yeah, I still have no idea what to make of PHOBOS. Never can find anything to latch onto with that album.

I'm still not sure about how I should rate this one. It's definitely not on the same level as choirs or hubardo but still pretty good, maybe even excellent. Hmmmmmmmm

Phobos is their best for sure. I still jam that album weekly at minimum.

Choirs is their best but Phobos is close to the top imo. I hope the new one lives up to their past three. The hype is real.

Phobos doesn't remotely even come close to being their best
all about those first three albums, really

Something about this doesn't sit well with me

Phobos is their most consistently excellent with such a unique style. It's their only album where I don't feel like skipping any part of it.

agreed. idc what anyone says, phobos is their best (for me). not only does it sound very much like the future of music (in more ways than one), but its aesthetic awareness is flawless. the production is incredible. and the layering on it is totally unique. creates a perfect dream-like soundscape that bring to mind sequences of flying through futuristic skyscrapers and bizarre and awe-inspiring architecture and landscapes. its so cohesive and probably one of my favorite things to come out of recent music.
