I agree actually, just listen to the damn thing. I simply described it as too poppy for my liking and green lost his shit.



Finally i have nothing wrong with liking pop, i have a Take That album at 4 after all. Nickelback could be labelled as

whatever genre they choose to be, doesn't mean I like them any more or any less than i do

All I'm saying is if you say you like the White Stripes, Black Keys, DFA 1979, etc. and claim you can't find anything to like about this, you're just being a pretentious ass.



With regards to The 1975: they may be derivative and they may be douchebags, but they also have a knack for strong hooks and melodies and I honestly don't give a rat's ass what else they do. I don't gauge the music I listen to by how cool I think the dudes in the band would be to hang out with, or how obvious their influences are: I listen to it to be entertained. If it entertains my ears, I listen to it. Period. Not sure why that's such a difficult concept for some people (aka 99% of Sputnik).
