Nevermind is an overrated album, but this one is even more overrated.

All three of their albums are pretty special in their own ways.

Love these kinds of comments. So I belong in the minority of those who don't understand.

I don't wanna sound like a dick, but please tell me, what exactly is that I do not understand ?

Music is not just notes on a piece of paper though. Nirvana were vital in regaining faith in revolutionary music back in the '90s and in bringing new blood to rock music in general. Apart from that, it's a matter of taste. One either likes or dislikes their music.

From a musical standpoint of view, their music is either a hit or miss for me. They have a few songs which personally I absolutely love, but most of their material is just skippable. Love the majority of Kobain's lyrics though.

As I've always said, Cobain was a poet more than a musician but this is still excellent

while I get the love for Nevermind, I always found it to be their least interesting release, mainly due to the production

You sort of have to understand Nevermind's cultural impact to understand why it's so highly rated. Overrated or not, it's still pretty amazing.

The embodiment of what it is to be young, confused and fucked off.

Demographically if you were a 90s western teen who questioned what was being force fed to you in the guise of 'youth culture' and 'pop' music Nirvana/Cobain were the answer.

More importantly they screamed the answers and rocked while doing so.
