"Black Widow" is a pretty awesome song, but the rest of this ranges between bad and mediocre. "Fancy" is one of the worst songs from this genre I've ever heard though, Charli XCX is just a terrible vocalist.

That's amongst the worst things you've ever said Snide

The best thing Charli XCX has ever done was a feature on the Major Lazer TV season 1 finale, and it didn't even sound like her normal annoying ass tone.

I try really hard to not give you a hard time and to instead give you benefit of the doubt but disliking Charli and 3.0ing RAM and Demon Days places you in the naughty list.

Man those aren't even some of my most controversial ratings, (last time my ratings got brought up, someone flipped out on me for having several BOTDF albums rated higher than Metallica)

Iggy needs to be put down frankly speaking

A lot of your 1.5s make me pretty sad. Like Some Nights is pretty poignant pop record, and G.L.O.S.S. kicks ass. Come one, bro

Some Nights I have at a 1, and it's because it's just the perfect personification of everything I hate in pop music. When I listen to pop that's not at all the sound I'm looking for.
Don't even get me started on GLOSS.

Is it the lyricism or what? A lot of people got pissed at G.L.O.S.S. for 'pussying out' when the whole Whirr thing happened, too.

Their music is just average to below average punk with some okay moments and some cringe moments. I don't mind the lyricism, it's just the way they disbanded left a very sour taste in my mouth for a multitude of reasons.
|
| |
To me, their short run embodifies the punk ethos and spirit, and while the music itself is very rudimentary thrash punk shit, I cannot deny the energy and the power to the lyricism.

Oh they definitely have energy, and I really did respect their DIY non-internet approach. But the whole disbanding because "we don't want non-trans people having opinions on our music" combined with how they told cis people to get to the very back of their shows, really just made them look and sound like alienating assholes.
|
| |
Those were pretty kneejerk reactions to the Whirr conflict, which Whirr themselves started. They totally seemed like asshole decisions, but even further does that exemplify the little bubble that punk subculture lives within.
|
| |
basically they were a decidedly problematic project and it didn't feel fabricated, it aligned with the very heart of punk or protest music.
