Hot damn does the vocalist of this band sound like Tool's vocalist.
|
| |
I'll take that as a question, and the answer is no, not really. ;]

Well...he can sound like him, but that's a bit of an overstatement to act like his voice is a clone of Maynard's

They have a lot in common, yes
|
| |
I actually like Pete's voice more than Maynard's, though Tool are better as a whole
Chevelle needs to start going arty rn
|
| |
I might even agree with that. Maynard is a fantastic singer but overrated to hell.

Yeah Maynard is good but not great.

Album Rating: 3.5 | Sound Off
Maynard is much more technically proficient as a vocalist than Pete is. His breath control is unbelievable (ie The Grudge, the last scream in Eulogy)
|
| |
Considering that he's all but ripped his vocal chords out from singing the way he does, I don't know if "technically proficient" is the right word

Yea but Maynard is also a lot older. He used to nearly completely duplicate his performances live so he was pretty damn proficient.
|
| |
@Mongi Oh yeah Im not denying that Maynard is great, but my point is if you are the "best" footballer in the world but you break a bone in every match, you certainly aren't the most "technical."
