Also, some of the songs on here avoid normal pop verse-chorus-verse structures

The "feel the rush" part of choking game is kinda silly except it makes more sense if hes talking about erotic asphyxiation. Also dat riff at the end.
I'm still waiting for a rip of this album that doesn't sound like ass. So much compression.

"but heavier and more atmospheric"

"I never really liked the "soft" closers on Chevelle albums. I mean, they were okay, but never really memorable."
I loved Bend the Bracket. One Lonely Visitor was eh.
"heavier and more atmospheric"

I've never really given a whole Chevelle album a proper listen-through. I've always found that Pete sounds like a whiny bitch in their singles and I absolutely hate that. Listened to the first two singles off this and liked em both a fair amount. Is he very whiny in the rest of this album, or is he pretty good? The only album I have by them is WWN, which I think is fairly good, minus The Red, Send the Pain Below, and One Lonely Visitor.

I'll probably pick this up then. I keep trying to get into them and I just can't. It used to be the same with Deftones though, and now they're one of my favorites.
