Glover's debuting his new album September - kind of, I think? Either way, hype. (http://pitchfork.com/news/66183-childish-gambino-announces-pharos-shows-to-debut-new-album/)

That's crazy. Is that screenplay something that's been adapted to the big screen or television?

only really delved into the concept of this album recently and it made me like it a whole lot more
the underlying heaviness behind tracks like Urn, Flight of the Navigator is pretty intense

Is it just me, and hear me out, but there's like a short part in Macklemore's Brad Pitt song where he sounds a bit like Gambino imo, anyone else think so?

Nevermind, sorta. The part I was referring to occurs at 1:30 in the music vid, but now that ive overplayed it I'm not as sure about the comparison, though I still here it somewhat.

@Scuro, I hear it, too. Macklemore's cadence for a moment is reminiscent of some of Gambino's cockier verses.
And the album feels a lot more whole within the context of the screenplay. I remember reading it quite a while ago and liking the album a lot more after the fact. That said, I think the whole album-narrative "experience" could've been a lot tighter - neither the narrative/script nor the album are perfect, and whilst a lot of the metaphors seem to lead to dead ends or more unexplained ideas (which I'd argue was intentional), the album compliments the screenplay in the weirdest way and vice-versa. It's at the very least interesting.

Yeah feels like the album is sort of an impressionistic rendering of the screenplay more than anything else, like its inspired by the same idea and story structure but it loosely follows it at best. For me that just makes it more interesting though, they're meant to be two separate pieces of art not just the same thing on two different mediums
