IMO the final cut is by far the best thing Floyd or anyone associated w/ Floyd did after Animals

Amused to Death doesn't come close to TFC for me, musically or lyrically.

I think that in general Waters' vocals on AtD were much much MUCH better than on any Floyd album; I much prefer his lower range to that horrible wavering high range he had.

True but that doesn't mean they're actually aesthetically pleasing vocals whereas there are a lot of cases in AtD where I actually enjoy his vocals a lot

I much prefer his vocals on TFC personally. They have much more emotion and that's all I really look for in Roger's vox.

I wouldn't say they had more emotion in TFC than on AtD I think they're about the same in that regard. I mean he actually sounds on the edge of tears on Too Much Rope and it's incredible

I do need to give AtD another listen soon as I haven't listened to anywhere near as much as a TFC but I remeber finding it nowhere near as emotionally engaging as TFC.
