i've only ever thought that way about one AB album, ABIII
that album could greatly benefit being trimmed down by 3 or 4 songs

Blackbird is almost an hour long, even over if you count the bonus tracks.
Their first album is their shortest, but even that is at least over fifty minutes.

this is good indeed, nothing really special to me though : 4 or 5 great tracks (as usual with AB), the rest is decent.
Fortress is my fav song here.

Agreed with Cipieron, AB III could've been trimmed by a few tracks and not skipped a beat but the length in this one is just fine. The 63 minutes fly by for me when listening to this.

I really love longer albums, that way you have an excuse for listening to music for long periods of time...at least I do :P

Just listened to this for the first time. "All Ends Well" is actually one of my favorites from this album as of now. I can see where folks are coming from regarding the relatively middle-of-the-road (by this album's standards) songwriting, but the delivery, especially during the chorus, is warm and impassioned, and more than makes up for the somewhat cliched lyrics.
Oh, and hey Ties, what's up?

BTW, it's been 4 months since "Addicted to Pain" came out, and it didn't do too well on Billboard's mainstream rock chart compared to the lead singles from AB's last three albums (#13, compared to #2 by "Open Your Eyes," #3 by "Rise Today," and "Isolation" reigned at the top for 7 weeks). Is there a possibility that there might not be a second single from this album?
If this album does see a second single, I think "Cry of Achilles," "The Uninvited," "Peace Is Broken," "Calm the Fire," and "All Ends Well" could be candidates. I'd personally expect "All Ends Well" to be released as a single at some point, since each of AB's last three albums has had at least one ballad released as a single (ODR had "Broken Wings," Blackbird had "Watch Over You," and AB III had "Ghost of Days Gone By," "Wonderful Life," and maybe "Life Must Go On").

Basically:
"Is there a possibility that there might not be a second single from this album?"
"If this album does see a second single, I think 'Cry of Achilles,' 'The Uninvited,' 'Peace Is Broken,' 'Calm the Fire,' and 'All Ends Well' could be candidates. I'd personally expect 'All Ends Well' to be released as a single at some point [because of AB's history with releasing ballads as singles]."
tl;dr versions for ya
