More laid back stuff fits him just fine and I'd like to hear an improvement over this. Trying to appear pissed off without any kind of sincerity won't do any good now, and you have the classics with genuine anger for that.

Soundtracks are cool, but he should keep working on this project as well.

I love NIN but Trent hasn't released a good song album since Year Zero, and he had numerous occassions (two NIN albums, one HtDA album and two EPs). On the other hand his OSTs so far are of high quality, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - top 3 of this decade imo

Everything is easily one of the worst songs trent has ever written but otherwise album is great

maybe broken. not much else. the man has recorded an impressive number of wonderful albums (the fragile, still, the girl with the dragon tattoo, phm, y0) and even his worse records contain some worthwhile songs, but none of it is really similar to tds stylistically.
