For me the turning point would be The Raven That Refused To Sing. I would check one or two progressive bands here and then, but always on the DT style I was accustomed to. After TRTRTS I discovered KC and the rest flew.

Opeth led me to all prog. I was listening pretty much to just metal and punk before then.

Tbh Rishloo led me here. Then I suddenly discovered I could write and my love for Tool strengthened. It all snowballed from there pretty much.

I got into Dream Theater, Tool, and Opeth around the same time seven or eight years ago when I was 13 and my dad showed me Porcupine Tree shortly after.
