The main riff on 'The Pecan Tree' from 2:35-3:05 >
My god it's glorious, probably my favorite moment on the album besides all of 'Dream House'.

Mine is probably the title track but The Pecan Tree is an outstanding closer.

Vertigo ftw.

I'm in love with that song right now. But that guitar solo a bit before the halfway point is pretty weak though when you really listen to it.

the 4 "real" songs are incredible, the interludes arent bad but sometimes feel pointless

"Purists largely reject the band's screamo-tinged and shoegazing approach to black metal for a perceived lack of authenticity, out of resentment for their supposed hipster fanbase, or simply because they are unimpressed with the results of the band's liberal songwriting style."
The "black metal scene" sounds pretty shitty if you can't experiment with other genres. I hate most all metal and I like this band, guess that makes me a part of the bands hipster fanbase. Whatever that means. I guess to be authentic you have to play blast beats the way everyone else plays blast beats. Shrug. This band is cool.

How do you hate metal is the real question?

a large portion of metal contains a fat, bearded man yelling at you about subject matter that is completely unrelatable. If you don't care for riffs, solos or other technical prowess, metal can be a strange, loud and obnoxious beast.

Can't live without heavy in my life. I need heavy!

It feels weird when I see people say that they "hate metal" because I find it really difficult to
imagine someone not enjoying Iron Maiden.

even though i do like a lot of metal i agree with this. i can't get into the retarded fantasy/sci-fi/gore/medieval/lotr lyricism. and the focus on technical wankery over songwriting that seems to be prevalent in a lot of metal can get annoying. the fat bearded biker dudes don't really help matters either.
