Dawn of Possession is one of their most accessible imo, its the closest thing to more "normal" death metal before they started getting even more twisted.

Idk if I consider DoP accessible, but it's definitely more accessible than the three albums that came after it.
Anything after UC is naturally a lot easier for people to get into right away. I've tried getting a lot of people into HiA and shit but it just doesn't work out at first, but if I pop on M&D or even this, they like it pretty quick.

yeah i picked this up for 3 bucks recently and im diggin the hell out of it. i could 3.5 it but then i feel like id have to raise some of the other immo stuff. none of their stuff is quite a 5 even though they have albums that are like, technically without flaw

ive noticed i tend to favor the "bridge" albums, as in albums that seem to be the stylistic bridge between a bands earlier more raw shit and their later more polished or experimental stuff. like my fav gorguts is erosion of sanity, hell awaits is my fav slayer, etc etc
