Really? I mean I didn't know what the fuck it meant till quite recently but I knew it existed as a genre when I was naught but a wee lad.
Also this album kind of takes a nose dive quite early. Finding it hard to get in to some of the stuff round the middle.

Might depend on where you're from. Here in the US, I'd say almost no one knows about the genre at all. I knew about electronic music for the longest time, but definitely not garage until later.

Yeah I mean I obviously knew what it was by the time I was getting into dubstep, i just meant that even though it was a big thing for awhile most people in the US only know about techno or what they call techno, maybe house and trance. They know the name dubstep now, but not many of them do the research to find out the origins. It's just not a big name around here the way house dubstep and techno are.
