you are gay

the transition from the first verse to the first chorus in "We Are Young" is genius
but yeah after that it's pretty repetitive

"yeah. i hate .fun and his old band The Format. "
I love both, gtfo
|
| |
I can find this done better in my dad's leftover stack of 70's pop records.
|
| |
fun. always wear off me annoyingly quickly. wish it wasn't the case
|
| |
I like the bit where it doesn't sound like anything from the 70's personally. =P
It goes on for about 40 minutes.
|
| |
lol. you obviously only know 70's rock and not 70's pop. there's a big difference.
|
| |
What 70's pop you talking about, man? I like the idea of this kinda stuff but not the execution.

We are young, is pretty good.
|
| |
yeah this is like queen meets say anything with some bleep bloop
|
| |
It Gets Better isn't good
|
| |
shit reminds me of stuff like Billy Joel, Meat Loaf, Jim Steinman, and Logins and Messina. their last album was more 70's but it's still there in spades.
|
| |
b joel sucks lol
|
| |
no, this sucks. billy joel pumped out the hits.

PIANO MAN
|
| |
Yeah I can definitely hear the Joel and Meat Loaf thing, never heard the others
|
| |
On ear-shot, maybe...
But I don't remember Meat Loaf throwing out hip-hop beats and using a serious amount of vocoder and
auto tune. =P
The drum beats (On certain tracks too, 'We Are Young' and 'Carry On' do sound similar but that's as
far as I'll go musically. Reminds me more of the 80's.
Their last album I'll agree with; 60's and 70's pop but this one is more 80's to me.
