I haven't tried enough of them myself, but I hear Indonesian made guitars are getting better and better. MIJ and MIA used to mean something, but I don't think they mean much now. Just extra $$$ for a few more points of quality control.

If you're looking to go custom, then of course go with the best. I paid almost 5000 CAD in total to get an Aristides 060 built in 2018 and don't regret it.

have you ever played an ibanez rg770? those are mij. it's what christer used on this and synergy and it's what i play 99% of the time and it stays in tune flawlessly. the original edge has to be the best bridge of all time

I've never played a RG770 before but I did own an original RG550 for a few years. After that I got an early 2000s RG570 which I also loved. I think they all had the original edge bridge. That fuckin FujiGen plant always put out quality.

Ibanez used to be my go-to just because they're quality and used ones sell for pretty cheap. Been a while since I owned one though. New ones are just crazy expensive now.

Yeah dude, we need a report with pics.

Never played Jackson, love some of their models tho but my impression is you have to go deep into your wallet for the quality ones. New Ibanez Prestige models are a bit overpriced too, but it's so much fun to hunt for used ones. Plus they mainly sound good when the body is not basswood imo, which cuts the selection to about 10% of their production. For me it's only mahogany and a H-H configuration.

Since this thread is rapidly developing/degenerating into a guitar forum, here's the Ibbies I own (+) or have owned (-) apart from my Gib Explorer w bareknuckles which is just an absolute beast:

Sweet even got the reverse headstock. What kind of Seymour Duncans?

And why am I not surprised the man who wanks off to 80s heavy/power/thrash still rocks a flip phone
