I can't bring myself to rate this a 5. Their best album so far, can't wait for Vital.

Yeah but whatever potential they had to do that was lost years ago

Now their potential is to make a really good alanis morisette cover album

not gonna 5 because honestly, although *fin will probably forever remain as the best song of their career, i think they definitely have the potential to make a more consistent album than this

**************************

This was actually very consistent but I agree with you, they are capable of making a better album than this one but none of their last 3 efforts have come even close to this.

I think Alexithymia is the worst song but it still rules

Did someone say Alexithymia is the weakest track here? Woah!!

The weakest track for me is " There is No Mathematics to love". "Fin" or " Unwinding Cable Car" are the best for sure

Yeah, There is no Mathematics... is the least memorable here.

"Did someone say Alexithymia is the weakest track here? Woah!!"

Really?! I wrote my freaking college application essay on how much I love that song. One of the best here.

Hello Alone is the worst thing here if you ask me...but it's still at least okay.

There is no Math is my least favorite and I think that is no contest. You apparently haven't heard Hello Alone live if you think it is the worst haha

No way. But I think Hello Alone's drums are simple and amazing at the same time. So I can agree to disagree. Regardless I have been with this band since Blueprints and I can confidently say that imo they have never put out anything short of excellent

No because Anberlin didn't bother playing it live when they have 10 better songs to choose from on this album alone.

I can see where you'd say There is No Math... isn't very impressionable and a little forgettable, but I think Hello Alone is one of the few Anberlin songs that's just pooly conceived. Structurally, it just doesn't work. It starts off really, really well, but the chorus doesn't fit the verse (and couple that with the fact that the way he sings "Hello! Alone!" in the chorus is annoying)
