karl we're talking about Florida music scenes, or lack thereof

Wizard mistakenly calls Florida Finland. This is too precious.

It was the fact that Wolfe was bragging about Florida and I just took a light jab at him hahahaha. I obviously know my scenes because I'm a scene-teen, DUH!

Eh, there's something worse about being just within reach of shows, but not being able to go because of commitments or the drive being just a little too much rather than being out of reach altogether.

There's only a small handful of bands I'd drive 5 hours there and 5 back to see, and when they've come to town I've always shit to do I can't skip. Only exception has been Dark Tranquillity, which was an insane show.

Is Boston the closest city you can go to for shows?

DT was pretty awesome the last time I saw them, but that was in 2008.

I was also referring to the WitTR show that just refused to work for you, even though it was a show in Maine for once, lol.

What's the internet? And guyz, I'm still 14 at heart. Isn't that what counts at the end of the day?

For good shows yeah, there are almost no decent metal bands that play north of there (WITTR were the first exception in the past 2 years). I saw DT in Allston at some small bar, In Flames in Boston at the House of Blues, and everyone else at the Palladium in Worcester. The only good show I've seen in Maine was Unearth in Portland in 2009.

"Only way is to get baked in the woods and eat organic food with the band members and ask them what they think."

Funny, thats exactly what we were doing, except the getting baked part because i don't like weed at all. We were at a mutual friends birthday party and were eating his homegrown carrots and freshly roasted goat(cuz thatz how we roll in Cascadia, nyugga!).

But yeah, the title of the album very much interested me so I got a pretty lengthly explaination about, which coincidentally was parellel to what was/is going on with me. So needless to say, aesthetically i was excited for the album and wasnt disappointed. The music was the icing, and it was exactly what i always wanted from them and knew they could pull off. So, they don't cator to anyone but themselves, hence the anti-venue attitude of tour they have today, using their own sound system and looking for hole in the wall type of places. Love it.

I'm a huge fan of Two Hunters. Will I be disappointed with this record? From the little I heard it sounded like Two Hunters II, which was awesome at first thought, but I'm getting the impression that this is just a stale version of it.
