I really enjoy their older albums Jas, but the last three albums are fucking serious buisness.

Yeah undoubtedly their best, but the first 4 rule hard too.
It's just the 2 in between that dip in quality (Withering and Marrow)

Macabre is the only real weak link for me, which is a shame because the t/t is fucking phenomenal.

Marrow of the Bone is the weak link tbh

Agreed, Kyo's vox were at their worst around then too.

Ahh but it's like I said in my review for it, while its probably the most unoriginal and musically dull as the rest of the discography, it's an important transition period. So I'm not that hard on it really.

If it weren't for the production, then I'd prefer Vulgar over The Marrow of a Bone. Yes, a majority of the songs that comprise the album are of a bland, meathead-like nature, though I also feel as if the more generic numbers on there don't weigh the overall record down too much. Call me a psychopath, but the unoriginal swagger that TMB boasts actually sorta makes it stand out; most of the time, to be a bit precise - and you could say the same for Withering to death. Vulgar has better songwriting, but the latter outmatches it as far as consistency is concerned. Now fight me.
Still, I can't stress enough how Uroboros is Dir's divine jewel.

I wonder what gave that away? :P

LMAO. It all dated back to as far as '08 and the rest is history.

Withering to death. is not a weak point for me, so many jams and there's really not a bad song to be found.

It's usually £100 but I got it for £60, Vinyl/CD's are mint and everything else is Near mint minus the box with annoying dent at the bottom. A steal really for how rare it is to get. The thing that really makes it worth it is the lyric book, it's all translated and looks majestic. Not the best example but the only one I can find: https://c3.staticflickr.com/7/6065/6025444946_2dda2e5549_b.jpg

Yep it's not worth it if you already have the CD and Vinyl, only thing you'd be getting then is the monster lyric book, packaging and the special DVD that comes with it. I can't find the interview on that on YT anywhere but I haven't checked to see whether you can find the live footage of it on YT. If there's a special edition to get though it's this, since Uroboros' has the orginal only plus less quality DVD/lyric sheet and Arche's one pales in comparison.

I really like the Arche SE, I think if you get the single SE of Sustain and Rinkaku it looks great.
I really want Uroboros SE but that isn't easy or cheap to find. ha
