I hate that it has the same melody as Liarsenic and that far deep in the tracklist it offers little to nothing new, Shaun Luu should have replaced it

The choruses are different enough that it’s not an issue for me and the main riff on Prentendeavor is just one of those sick mathcore hammer-on type riffs that I love a lot. I’ve also always had the deluxe version that has Shaunluu on it so I’ll take both tracks lol

He hits some of the same notes but the rhythm and tempo are pretty obviously different

"Check Botch dood"

I mean theyre good/amazing but they made a blueprint for what I love more. Im saying Botch doesnt incorporate as much as O God/Norma Jean generally does and Norma Jean does what Botch does better. The catchy singing is one of my favorite parts of Norma Jean. "This is between me and this blade and my heart" is the moment I fell 100% in love with heavier music and opened my eyes to nasty shit like Converge can be good. I thought the sound of Converge was bad, turns out it was just bad songwriting.

For all the things that make a song good, songwriting is always at the top of my list

Whenever I hear a song I like, I know its because of good songwriting, and if I dislike a song I know the songwriting is bad
