Yep I lowered my rating, because this album is too short to match the 13-track awesomeness of Pitch Black Progress (5). Holographic Universe has some songs that stand out much more, but overall is only slightly better (4), while Symmetric in Design is considerably better (4,5).

Hah. The rating chart is pretty funny. It shows the opposite situation of when fanboys rate an album high but their supply runs out real fast and then others bring the rating down. In the case of this album the same thing happened, but with haters. The 4s keep outnumbering the 2s.

Not as good as their first three albums, but a massive improvement over DMD.
This doesn't deserve a lot of the hate it's getting, it's a solid album with a few great tracks

Right now the decline in quality is becoming even more obvious. Symmetric in Design and PBP are fucking jewels of the genre. HU is fantastic too, but the last two don't match up unfortunately. It's mostly Lars' fault, I think.
