Is it a custom around here to go to albums you don't like and vomit all over other people's positive discussion?
I usually make it a point to stay away from music I know I won't like or just keep my negative opinions to myself but I could be getting it all wrong.

Anyone who says they're overrated hasn't listened to them properly (they're inaccessible, everyone knows that)
But anyone who says that the reason they're not getting all 5's is because they're inaccessible is mistaken as well... They're a great group, but don't just randomly label everything a 5, Colors and the Great Misdirect were probably better, although I do enjoy how they mixed Ants of the Sky's theme with Swim to the Moon's theme with this one
(if you didn't catch that and gave it a 2, then you definitely missed something and should not bother rating)
That's really another problem, in order to appreciate this release more, and maybe even understand what they were going for on this one, you needed to be a fan. Although I enjoy when they link their albums (Mordecai references can be seen up to the Great Misdirect through logical alterations) it just makes it harder to appreciate if you aren't a fan.
That being said, I'm glad I'm a fan, this is a great EP and I can't wait for the next "The Parallax" in the series.

"I usually make it a point to stay away from music I know I won't like or just keep my negative opinions to myself but I could be getting it all wrong."
But people are liking things that I don't like!

Oh and I still haven't given this as much time as I'd like. My roommate doesn't like the music and I don't have my headphones, so I'm stuck on 4, the initial opinion, which might go up or down with more listens.

deconstructor, it's 100% fine to say your negative opinions on something, even if it's vicious. it's when you attack other people for liking something that its bad
