You sure Alex? I hardly reccall him doing any vocals when seeing them live a couple of years ago.

I can see why someone may not like the chorus of 'You Wanted It'. It does stand out, but I think something like that was needed tbh... & it does its job of being catchy.

It's definitely the catchiest chorus here.

And yeah HBFS, I know. Unfortunately, I'm heading out of town for the Easter long weekend, so have to miss it. Spittin chips, I tells ya.

Ah, that sucks. A carpark on top of a shopping center is a pretty weird place for a concert. Wish I could go to The Corner show

there's a part in addicted to bad decisions that sounds just like devin...it has like an echo-y effect on the voice.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the go is with the arvo carpark show. I think it was Dougie's idea or something. Oh boy, The Corner is gonna get hot & sweaty on Good Friday.

I know the part you mean Sean. In fact, there was another part in another song where I could swear I heard Devin, but apparently not. Who knows, maybe it was Matt. Or maybe Toby is a ventriloquist.

Well I've seen them live five times and everytime Matt I'd always screaming a little bit. And if you watch live videos on YouTube this year he screams alot

I'll take your word for it. I guess he'd basically trade screams with Josh in a live setting, since Toby tends to save his voice for the cleans. I reckon it's going to take them some time to get everything right in a live seeting now that Devin has left.

In their old albums, I can hardly tell apart Toby and Devin most of the time.

Well he most certainly has no need to save his voice for the cleans on this record. Cause they fucking suck...

"In their old albums, I can hardly tell apart Toby and Devin most of the time. "

It's possible. Toby is the one with the more melodic & poppier voice, while Devin had a rather straight-forward approach.

"i feel like there are some spectacular moments here and there, but much of it is repeating well tread ground..."

I can see how someone may think that, since they are taking bits & pieces of all their albums.

Anyone else think the chorus of "Scissors" sounds a bit like "Symbol Song" by dredg?

Careful... Comparing Emery to Dredg around here could be a lynching offence.
