Yeah lol, not a hardcore guy by any means, but I've been really into skramz and a little bit of newer post-hardcore lately. But I haven't exactly delved into anything like Defeater yet, I'm actually looking for a few bands to check out if anybody would like to recommend some

well, I'll have to find some band. Out of all the screamo/post-hardcore emotive shit ive listened too, besides Converge cause their more metalcore, the best I've found has been a tie between Suis La Lune and either CTTS or Envy. But I really want to get to the more hardcore side of things, maybe Ill find my 5

wow bro, I love all those bands. Funeral Diner really only hit me with The Underdark though, which is just awesome, but i dont like their other stuff. Envy of course is insane, alot of their stuff sounds the same but it's all great. and kidcrash is fun as fuck I love Jokes

i dont get the comparison to eighteen visions cuz last i heard from them they were a crappy rock band and this band is supposed to be hardcore. granted, i haven't actually heard anything from this band but it doesn't seem right...i don't know

18 visions used to be a hardcore/metalcore band for their first 3 albums. I basically mentioned them
because they set the blueprint for the whole fashion scenester thing. there was no direct comparison
to defeater as a whole, i was just saying that there's a new resurgence in the punk scene that's going
back to its roots instead of courting the warped tour crowd. i was saying defeater are part of that
resurgence so to speak.

This is probably true as well.
