I found the lyricism of the album to be rather fitting. It's so bizarre with a flurry of picture related sentences that make up this whole scenario slowly but surely. Almost like each sentence is a chapter.

I will concede that the lyrics are not worthless but they are not worthy of the music they accompany. Even though I've been crapping on the lyrics, I really felt that this came across as a complete album musically. That's something that definitely won me over.

descendents, have you listened to much Destroyer? If not, that might be why you're not into the lyrics, he makes a lot of references to pop culture, and then to himself and his other albums that would make the lyrics seem worthless if you don't understand the context, really. Like, Bay of Pigs, for example, is so full of stuff in its 11 minutes that it might seem to be rather unfocused.
