album rules, but would be better if the songs were shorter or just less. Damn listening first 4-5 songs and i felt like i will 4.5 this, but after the middle of the album, the songs just become to.... monotonous and repetitive. Album still slays tho, riffs hard and monstrous drumming.

i had this 5d at one point too apparently (see the review) but yeh i agree that if they trimmed the fat off some of these songs it could've been a bit easier to take in one sitting, oh well album still rules hard and i love every song p much

and it's really fun to drum to this album, it's just that I can never hear clearly what cymbal is he playing during those blasts/thrash beats. all I hear are accents on every 4th note usually, like on the ride bell or something hm. eh I guess it doesn't matter anyway.

im on perpetual ascent, omg what an epic little bridge to the almighty darkened
and while i dont have a drum kit i must say this is one of the most fun and challenging records to faux drum with my hands and feet to haha

it's not really hard, but the amount of groove the drummer has is certainly above average for a dm drummer haha, awesome stuff
vocals are out of this world too, probably my favourite low growl. damn I love almost everything about this, it's just a bit too long/repetitive like some of you said

i never dug this as much as the other finndeath stuff (and finndeath is my favorite dm). it just sounds too much like incantation and not enough gloom and frigid sorrow like all the greats
