I think I've listened to this enough times to not really want to hear it in full ever again.
Not that it's bad, cause it isn't, but just because only a few of the songs really grab you, the rest is just like, yeah, this is cool.

Eh, I disagree. I think they were better at playing that stuff is all. They're currently trying too much to set themselves apart from the deathcore scene idk.

What? I've seen them live a few times (never the band I went for tbh) but they were only very sloppy when they were really young and playing with JFAC and TTEOTD.

Ha, I'd tried listening to some stuff a bunch of friends wanted me to listen to (some song called Chelsea Grin or something) and it didn't click with me; neither did any of the other songs I heard by them. But I try to keep an open mind and calls it how I sees it, and Crucify Me and It Never Ends actually piqued my fancy. Though now I'm doomed to burn in the eternal flames of sputnik's darkest corners, eh?

Yeah, Suicide Season was awful, understandable that you wouldn't like Chelsea Smile.
Chelsea Grin's a really generic deathcore band with really really good vocals.

Whoops, my bad. I'm not really into deathcore beyond a little All Shall Perish and Born of Osiris. The only reason I even checked this out is because they're one of my best friend's favourite bands and I was curious to see what all the hype was about. But like I said; the stuff I've heard from this ain't too bad.

Yeah, they don't really play deathcore anymore (which is a shame imo because they were a lot better at that).
You should try checking out like... Through The Eyes Of The Dead and Graves Of Valor, pretty much the only necessary deathcore.

I haven't listened to the full stream yet. Are there less growls and screams on this album than SS?

I actually really liked this, regardless of my predisposition to hate it. Suicide Season sucked IMO. I especially enjoyed It Never Ends. If the band continues down this road, their next album could actually have some serious progression in the genre. This is a huge step up for BMTH, tbh. Underoath's Disambiguation is gonna blow this out of the water though. I don't have the hate for breakdowns everyone else seems to have though, so my opinion may be moot to a lot of you.

Underoath is a lot more creative than BMTH, no shit their new album will be better.
And that's why BMTH should still play deathcore: they're not creative enough to crawl out of that niche and stay as catchy.
