ok, well let's logically analyze the situation. 12 out of 13 people pos'd the review, presumably you being the one who neg'd it. this album has a 4.1 rating and a negative review for it was deemed as well written by the same majority who gave the album a good rating(besides the troll negs by new users who 5'd on first listen, which the mods deleted).
do you have any actual reasoning as to why it's a "shitty review"? or do you just not agree with it? because frankly I can't take you seriously when you commented that mecca's two thousand word, incoherent, immature, overzealous blabber on the album(which i mean in the nicest way), that "at least this is better than the other review".
also just saying, porch thrives off butthurdedness and you are currently inflating his opinion of himself(also mean that in a nice way).

Using compete wasn't the right word to use; they compliment the instruments more so and take a back seat to what is
essentially still a math-rock band. The best, and easiest example, would be Fang
Island; who employ a very similar vocal approach. There were little to no complaints regarding their
vocals simply because there was none to be had. They're a indie jam band who use catchy lyrics to
compliment their tight musicianship. I'd listen to both Fang Island and Tera Melos is they were
lacking vocals but you can't say the same for a mass majority of indie bands. Vocals in songs like
Aped fit perfectly with the song, and the vocals break-up when the band starts rly shinning and
jamming out. So there really isn't a problem with them. Somethings not wrong with the band;
something wrong with you the listener.
also you used that as reasoning for negging my review back on like page 5. so yeah it actually was completely opinion based.
edit: also before you inevitably say "lol u butthurt" or something in that vein, just gonna point out that i'm defending
something I wrote, not calling some kid on the internet a fag in multiple posts

Lol that's definitely why I don't post in here anymore. I still check this thread pretty much daily hoping it will be okay. How the fuck can you guys still be talking about the same shit?
I'm honestly just fascinated by this thread. And especially the fact that every single post in this topic seems to be longer than the last, and that the more someone types, the less they actually seem to be saying.
But even when someone does have a point to make, it's already been made at least twice on every page of every review.
In all seriousness: it's time to stop this. I actually have a very strong opinion on who needs to shut up the most in this thread, who sucks and who doesn't, but this isn't the time or the place.

just to note, i pos'd even though i can probably be considered sort of a fanboy of these guys. everything you said in the review was well written and thought out, at some point it just comes down to personal taste i suppose. didn't mean to get personal a couple posts ago, i just felt like i witnessed an online lynching when mecca was exiled haha.

yeah id like to see them with maps but the new maps stuff bores me. not coming to my state though.
but to be honest i feel like the live show would be a lot weaker than it used to be. nick just kind of has to stand still in front of his mic and effects pedals and what not, as opposed to their destroying davis video.
