I actually agree with you fti... & I think I sort of said that in the review. BTW, is there a 2nd wave of nu-metal?

I didn't realize Mudvayne ever went away enough to need to rise back up. As for the others, I wouldn't say releasing new albums counts as a resurgence of fame.

I heard Nonpoint were releasing an album, heard the stream, haven't really heard from them since. And Limp Bizkit, well, that is sort of a rising back up, so, got me there.

Have they risen, have they? I must have missed it.

Well, in the sense that they have their original line-up back and their new album at least has some semi-ironic to mildly serious hype among select individuals. Sure.

When is it going to be released anyway? It might be another GnR.

*looks on Wiki page* I don't see a date for release. I've been wondering myself....

As I expected, this is a step down, but there's some solid tracks here.

No release date, no 2nd wave of nu-metal.

ttb sums up the concensus.

Agreed, there is no second wave of nu-metal. Just like the 80's hasn't come back every time someone got over excited about a modern band pretending to be hair metal or a guitarist wearing tight leather pants and playing a solo.

Hey, when did that happen? Hair metal needs to return.

A return of hair metal really would be fun. I'm for it.

And I can't really give a time frame. It's a messy, sporadic thing.

Dave is trying to bring it back with his sporadic blogs.

Davey, if you want a good modern hair-metal(ish) group, you should check out Halestorm's self-titled. Pretty good 80's-style hard rock with a female singer, you'd probably dig 'em.

Cool. Back on topic to this album, Fix Me, Don't Fight It, and Fade Into The Ocean are my favorites on this.

Shoot It Out isn't in my top though, although I admit it's grown on me some. Fade Into The Ocean is my favorite, that riff that starts about halfway through is awesome.
