@atavan, Yeah, actually that is annoying as hell.
Of course that doesn't mean that everything else there is incorrect. Assuming that would be the logical fallacy of composition, and I do think she's doing this as an attention grab.
If she really actually cared about Freddie Mercury, she'd have released a tribute album which probably would have been horrible but would at least have been sincere.

That's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever read. I loved Amy Winehouse, but I'm not going to cover Back to Black from start to finish just to prove that I cared about her.
the comments weren't disabled because she delivered a worthy tribute.
They were disabled because YouTube commenters are the lowest form of being that there is. OMG UR S000 WR0NG U FAGGOT! LIKE THIS COMMENT IF U H8 JUSTIN BEEBER! 205 PEOPLE MUST THINK THE DISLIKE BUTTON IS "DIS-I-LIKE" LOLOLOL! Every YouTube video should have comments disabled. The world would be a better place.

I maintain that it's not worth getting worked up about. A lot of different acts were influenced by Queen - hell, probably even fucking Train. It's not that big a deal. They're 15 second videos. They're a blip on the screen.

@Atavan, no it's completely different when you or me want to tribute someone because we're not megastar pop artists. She can tribute him, and hell she can put it on Youtube if she wants to, but if she wanted to look like anything besides an artist looking for easy publicity (while in the process of doing something good), she'd have taken 1 day of her fucking life to cover "We Will Rock You" or something.
Don't patronize me like that; I'm not an idiot.

Oh, right, so because she's more successful than me as a musician that means she has to make a tribute album to any musician she likes that has died. Please, do go on.

You're still not explaining why she is obligated to do that. Exactly how is she less credible for not covering Queen? Does that mean the cast of Glee care more about Freddie Mercury because they did Somebody To Love on the show? They're megastar pop artists too, y'know.
Don't patronize me like that; I'm not an idiot.
I'm starting to suspect that you are.

One of the boys was great, but I've really been put off trying this.

I'm watching it again and I still can't see your problem. She's acting the way she normally would, and who the hell are we to question how legit what she's saying is?

Atavan I totally changed my mind. For some reason I didn't bother to check out the fact that 5billion
other artists did that.
Yeah, okay. I hope she gets inspired by Freddie to put out some good music though.

Brilliant review, you hit the nail on the head.
"You could have been the next Gaga, albeit less talented, less hideous, and certainly less crazy, if only you could direct that don’t-give-a-damn personality and charismatic vibe"
Magnanimous, to say the least.

Are you the person that sent in the card to PostSecret that said "I love listening to Katy Perry but it would ruin my reputation as a music snob if anyone knew."? Because I could totally see you doing that.
