Good choices!
Tighter & Tighter, Pretty Noose, An Unkind are basically the top 3 on here. I love 15/16 of the songs on here though. It's honestly my favorite grunge album.

It's a great album for sure. I mean there are other good songs like Rhinosaur, Never Named and Applebite but most of the others just seem a little anonymous to me. Probably haven't given enough spins to let this sink in properly since there are lots of songs.

Yeah, it's a grower for sure, but it's the type of grower that tops the albums that initially seemed better.
It's more detail oriented and diverse than their other albums and I'd argue that Cornell's voice is the most convincing here, like he's really singing from the heart on tracks like "Zero Chance" "Burden in My Hand" and "Boot Camp"

Fun fact: Kim Thayil hated this album so much he quit because of it. Especially since Chris and Ben wanted to make Soundgarden's next album even further from the Badmotorfinger sound lol.
Maybe people hate it because it led to Soundgarden's downfall.

I definitely prefer everything that came before this

I'm mixed honestly. BMF is m 2nd favorite Soundgarden, but I don't really love Lounder Than Love, I do like it though.

Down on the Upside 5/5 (my favorite grunge album ever)
Badmotorfinger 4.5/5
Superunknown 4.5/5
Screaming Life 4.5/5
Ultramega-OK 4/5
King Animal 3.5/5
Louder Than Love 3.5/5

Although I love most of Soundgarden's stuff, I find myself listening to this one the most. The sound quality is excellent as well. Definitely worth listening to on good headphones or speakers.

Real talk, if this had The Day I Tried To Live on it, I would put it above Superunknown as SG's best album

It's already Soundgarden's best though
|

Badmotorfinger > Superunknown > (maybe) Down On The Upside
All albums are sweet though, but Badmotorfinger is best hands down.

Badmotorfinger > Superunknown > Louder Than Love > Ultramega OK > Down on the Upside

You haven't heard King Animal, Nero?
|
| |
Heard it once, didnt leave a great impression
|
| |
Have it at a 4, don't know if it's that much though because I haven't heard it in a while, probably more a 3.5 but it's honestly great.

Alright, listening again I can confirm the first 4 tracks still rule.

All tracks rule except Switch Opens

Oh, and Boot Camp. Don't forget Applebite. And Never Named. Yeah right, Overfloater as well. Shit.

"Oh, and Boot Camp. Don't forget Applebite. And Never Named. Yeah right, Overfloater as well. Shit."
What are you talking about? Boot Camp rules and is an emotional ride for such a short song....
Applebite is fucking cool as hell, I don't get why people hate it and Never Named is fun.
Like I said, the entire album rules hard except for Switch Opens
|
| |
Applebite is clearly overlong, the lyrics of Never Named really drag it down, Boot Camp is the best out of the ones I namechecked but far from the best here, and Overfloater is really just boring.
