To bad they aren't metalcore.

I've really gone off them lately. Heafy pisses me off.
If anyone saw that issue of Guitar World a while back where they celebrated the 20 year anniversary of Master Of Puppets, you might recall a section where famous metal guitarists of today got to ask Kirk Hammet some questions. Heafy asked Hammet if there's any band today that he feels has produced an album as good as Master Of Puppets, one filled with 'blistering solos and epic songs' or somesuch.
It was just so obvious that Heafy wanted him to say 'Well, yeah...you guys!'
Of course, he didn't.
Not to knock his songwriting or anything, there's some good stuff on here. That new song blows though, IMO.

Ive just got back yesterday from Download, where I saw Trivium for the second time. They were very good musically, but Matt needs a fvcking vocal coach cause I think he'd fvcked his voice so was singing instead of screaming. He even sang most of Pull Harder! Corey was doing most of the harsh vox. Detonation wasnt hugely impressive, but Ill still probably get their new album in the autumn.

Bands shouldn't have to tell thier fans to mosh, that should be something the fans just do.

A lot of bands tell there fans to move, and for a good reason, they feed off the enjergy, how are they going to if the crowds dead?

I heard some disturbing news, that Matt Heafy isnt screaming anymore for their new work. Maybe a lot of you dont even like his screaming on this album but i heard that it was much worse for their new album, can anyone confirm this?

i disagree with this review completly Matthew k Heafy is a god on guitar and vox he is also amazing in the roadrunner united cd as much as ascendency. the lyrics on this album are amazing and the vox sound just as well as any other metal vocalist when the crusade comes out there is no chance in hell im not buying it.

this album has def. grown on me, and im listening to it more than i had before. but sadly 3.5/5 is the highest this album should get. IMO that is.
