this album caved my goddamn head in when I heard it the first time. After Lifeless Years, Blackest Skyline, Transcendence... When that riff in Teras starts popping off all bets are off, walls are getting smashed

metalphil, check Battlecross - Pursuit of Honor and Revocation's self-titled. best tracks are probably Push Pull Destroy and Witch Trials, respectively.

Josh is indeed a riff machine, but I think his guitar tones are some of the best in modern metal
|
| |
Also check Anterior - This Age Of Silence for another early Sylosis clone

So after searching for some bands similar to Sylosis I came across Lucis Absentia. Straight up Sylosis clone/worship. I swear some of their songs could have been ripped directly from some Sylosis albums.
They're more similar to the post Conclusion of an Age albums but still worth checking out if you're a fan.

I think this is the only album of theirs that I’ve liked. Josh is indeed a riff machine though, there’s no denying that.

I’ll have to check em again. It is time.
I didn’t really dig the new album but I thought the last track was fantastic.
