The demo versions are all really good, but I definitely like the new versions better. I just think that the demo versions were out for so long before the album that people got used to them and accepted them as the originals or how they should sound.

My first Anathema album, I wanted to check this band out for a long time now but never got around doing so.



The first 6 tracks are all very beautiful and simply songs with a big euphoric aura going on, most likely my favorite half of the album. After that, things get a bit more serious and 'complex' (as far as complicity goes on here), but the quality never really lets go. Only track I'm not really digging is the closing one, Hindsight. Not feeling that one at all, but hoping for a change on that later though.



Still need to let this thing grow on me a little bit, but in any case I can conclude it's a damn fine album.
