Wasn't sure what Pitchfork would think of it, but relatively happy with the review & rating:

I feel like this album isn't getting its deserved love from Sputnik, but then I look at 16 pages of comments and 15 people digging it and think "maybe it is." But I just don't feel like anyone's talking about it... which is a shame because it's a dark horse for the album of this summer (my other would be OMNI, personally).

Nah man, I agree. If my staff colleagues haven't got into it in a few months time, I'll spruik it more. Then they'll probably rate it a 3 & i'll go on a murderous rampage.
Hopefully the Pitchfork review (finally) will help. It's still my album of the year... so far.

Hey, it's Sunday down under... That means a new week... & a new song of the week. Hmmm, shall I be unpredictable? I think I shall. This week, we must all listen to 'Black Gold', but away from 'Spanish Sahara' coming after it.
So yeah, I'm telling everyone to listen to a song that I did not even (originally) mention as being in the top half of the best tracks on the album! Yeah, the album is that good.

Blach Gold is deep man, "The future is not what it used to be/They buried the gold, your ancestry's sold/And left to just the residue".

While I've sort of some around to your thinking that it's strong, I still feel it would have been better away from 'Spanish Sahara'. In fact, it would have made a mighty fine closer.

Great review DaveyBoy. Once again I completely agree.

Yes, another 4.5, average is still < 4 though :-(.
And while I understand your point Davey, I do think that What Remains is the best closer the album could have had.

Thanks CBD. I'm certain we'll disagree some time soon.

Yeah, how is the average for this under 4? Bl00dy LG.
I definitely got around to really liking 'What remains', and what I said about its moods in the review, I stand by. For that reason, it does theoretically make for an excellent closer (even if it could have been longer). Oh ok, put 'Black Gold' as the penultimate track then.

Haha now that could work.
"Top of the world, bottom of the ocean"
I'm listening now.

F**k, I hope not. Maybe it's because I didn't rate this a 5 & haven't called it the "best ------"... YET!

Hehe. Well, now that i think about it, I did make some kind of comparison to Radiohead!
Actually, I wonder if the "... their image portrays..." comment of yours is why most of the staff here have kept away from it thus far. Good on Kiran though, as I know he wasn't a great fan of 'Antidotes'.
