That very thought boggles the mind, but I would agree - - pretty much everybody there was parading around in v-necks and/or Buddy Holly glasses, surfing Pitchfork on their Macbooks (I witnessed two examples of this with my bare eyes), and the hip baristas were playing Neutral Milk Hotel through the speakers. It was almost too much to take, until I ran into an old friend of mine; he promptly apologized for being "too high," and I, of course, corrected him, saying, "You do realize who you're talking to, right?" So we went out back and got further stoned. Thus is a night in the life of Daniel Smith, the wayward venturer of Sputnik.
