Hey Meatplow, did any of your industrial forum buds ever check this out (I posted a link in there a while ago, but it was lost in random blabber).

Yeah, I know. I tried to promote it once or twice since but it fell on deaf ears.

Thread needs more regular posters.

As for Wizard's observation, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with him. This sounds very little like the last few Ministry albums.

I hear it in the vocals and the thrashy guitar patterns. Mind you, this is still a somewhat unique sound but I can certainly hear Jourgenson ripping his vocals apart to this. Just an observation though. Loving this album atm.

I partly hear a Ministry influence over the drum tones. Apart from that, not really.

Exactly what I was going for Meatplow. It's not like I think they're a full blown Ministry cover band or anything, I just appreciate the influence.

A lot of industrial bands have been using those drum tones, but I can hear what you're saying.

I admire the drum sounds on here actually, i'm trying to teach myself how to get that kind of effect.

And the staccato guitar patterns as well.

For some strange reason I don't think this album is that special. Quite standard hardcore industrial perfected before by Ministry and NIN on their EP, Broken.

No one really said it was "special" only that it's really good. Do you rate everything low that has been done before by another band? One could argue that it took Ministry multiple albums before they ever even got good at what they did, and even then most of their albums were inconsistent. As for NIN's EP... there's one song on there that could be considered "hardcore industrial".

All right. I've given this one a few more spins and it seems better than I initially thought. Still, it's nothing to ring home about. For me, they definitely lack diversity and the album feels samey all the way through no matter how solid it is. The lack of distinct style doesn't disqualify them, but it'd be an advantage.

If you're looking for diversity in industrialized metal, you're going to hit many dead ends.
