This is probably gonna have to grow on me. The Devil and God clicked almost immediately for me. Maybe this will eventually. It's still amazing, it's just not Brand New amazing for me. Yet.

I'm with you Chambered. In fact this makes me appreciate all of their albums all the more. This has turned their discography from a very strong one, to an amazing one that I'll be proud to put on shuffle any day of the week.

I tend to listen to Devil and God at least once a week.
This I haven't listened to since the second week of it being released.

I don't think TDAG absolutely crushes this, but it still is a better album. TDAG is still one of my favorite albums ever, and this album is starting to enter the 45-50 times played on my itunes, and I'm still loving every second. This is nearly as good as Devil & God for me

this sucks compared to TDAG

^^Absolutely. They're both really great for completely different purposes and reasons. They can't even be compared for me. They're equally wonderful but completely on different planes.

I really liked this album. I wasn't too sure about it on the first listen but now I can't take it off repeat.
I personally don't think Brand New are trying to run away from their "obvious displeasure" in Your Favourite Weapon, but instead they are growing and maturing. If you listen to Your Favourite Weapon, then Deja, then Devil & God, then Daisy, you can hear them both musically maturing and growing up; that's what Lacey stated in an interview. However I do agree that their lyrics on Daisy are not as great as the lyrics on Deja.
Brand New manages to pull off the change. Once again, great album.

Still don't get this. For a site that just walks all over decent acts for being 'nothing new', this really got a huge fanfare.
