Indeed it does. Won't Get Fooled Again is the ultimate song. Just, like, ultimate of all time or something. The essence of rock

The ethos of rock music summed up in one borderline perfect 8 minute song.

Exactly! The combination of groovy basslines and drums pounding like nothing you've ever heard, the unique guitar-playing, and Daltrey screaming from the top of his lungs. Amazing.

Have infinite love for Baba O'Riley, Behind Blue Eyes and Won't Get Fooled Again (damn, what a cliche) but the rest never really did enough for me. Haven't jammed in forever though so my opinion could change.

The Song is Over (those drums!!) and Getting Tune are amazing. But this was one of the first hard rock-records (besides AC/DC and Led Zeppelin) I ever hear. The impact it had on me was UNBELIEVABLE. When I first heard Baba O'Riley on VH1 as a kid, my mind nearly exploded. It is to this day, one of my definite favorite records

See man, I don't have any real nostalgia for this record which I'm sure impacts my views on it. Absolutely makes sense how this would have kicked open a door into your brain, it just never really did that for me. Still rules, though.

Also, just got up to THAT bit in Won't Get Fooled Again. Fuckin' damn, dude.
