I used to not care for Dave's vocals, but they've definitely grown on me. I actually kind of like them on this album -- they're probably his best vocals ever.

I really like the album. My 3rd favorite to Countdown to Extinction and RIP. Broderick's really good, but no Friedman, but he adds some nice solos throughout the album. My favorite song's got to be This Day We Fight, followed by 1,320'. I can't wait for their next album already!

The album's brilliant, plain and simple... though I'd expect no less from Dave. 'This Day We Fight!' really kicked my ass, after just having gotten it kicked from 'Dialectic Chaos'. The whole album seems pretty consistent to me, not one song that I had the slightest urge to skip over, I enjoyed every minute of it. 'Sealed With A Kiss' is a really interesting track, kind of seems like it would be on TWNAH instead but it's too good for that one.



Shame that Metallica will always get the recognition while the superior Megadeth has to stand in the shadows.

I love Dialect Chaos and This Day We Fight! is a pretty fair follow-up. 44 Minutes is pretty good as well. From there, I really don't know where to go with the album. Headcrusher and How the Story Ends are pretty good, but the rest of the album just feels like generic filler to me.



But I digress. Dialect Chaos is fucking AWESOME.

Not quite as good as I thought with the overall rating on here. Its hit and miss, though admittedly with more hit. Flashes of RIP like glory in some songs like Headcrusher and This Day We Fight! to be then countered by less impressive songs like the title track. Solos are hectic as though.

I disagree with the general approval that this album is receiving... Yes their musical technicality is very good but the album just does not conveys the proper trash metal feel. No damn musical qualia for me!!
