An interesting point: I'd say they pretty much left behind their earlier bluesyness by SC. This might be their last blues-influenced record, in the strict sense.

not sure, they came out the same year. There are a few of the same notes, but I don't think they're too much alike as the picking patterns are completely different.

You guys have a point: the "Diamonds & Rust" picking pattern is similar to "Barracuda".
Maybe the Wilson sisters jammed the whole album, although I'm not an expert on Heart by any means.

Just did a bit of Sputnik research, and yep, both this and the album with "Barracuda" came at about
the same time. Which means any similarity might be pure coincidence.
