how did they shit their pants so bad on the following album. they had their experimental pop sound down to a science on this record. I hope they make another album

Still convinced Chuckles was a joke tbh

I jammed Chuckles ages ago and it wasn't even that bad.
Need to jam these guys properly.

Holy shit it's so bad lol but yes Pleb you do they really have some amazing stuff to offer. El Cielo is masterful.

I actually...kinda liked it?
Maybe that's cos I've never really heard their stuff prior.

Probably haha
This and CWA is catchy pop type stuff done right, El Cielo is such an atmospheric emotional roller coaster and Leitmotif is raw as fuck. Awesome band.

Preferring the religion/terrorism/life choices concept over the painting/sleep paralysis one is obviously highly subjective (for instance, I prefer El Cielo's) but as far as actual music and variety go this is easily their best imo.

I really miss this band...Leitmotif through Pariah were all brilliant in their own ways.

quotes is the ish

This album certainly has some good songs. I think this is another one of those bands where every album is a step down from the last until it's finally just awful.

this isn't a step down from catch though
|
| |
I think it is. I think it's in order just like I said, Motif>Cielo>Catch>Pariah. Every album Gavin's voice got more poppy and the craftsmanship just started to vanish. This album is still pretty good for it being filled with so much pop but the prog sound is gone almost entirely. All I know for sure is Chuckles might be one of the worst albums I've ever heard from a band I once considered to be great.
