There's a liaison between the d and i, so don't pronounce the h or else you'll sound goofy.

I meant the version with Dj. The actual pronunciation should be Pay-sahj Dee-vair, with the accent on the later syllable of each word, like iambs. It's quite pretty, I think.

Pay-sahj Dee-vair like Sevengill said, sounds most like it.
Coming from some one who (is supposed to) know French.

I only know how Les Discrets is pronounced because I saw Fursy in a vid where he stated it. Ugh languages.

Because French is a confusing language when it comes to transliteration. Silent H, different "a" sounds in Paysage, the "air" sound...yeah. It's still nicer than German, I think.

Everyone should speak spanish tbh. One pronunciation for every letter save for two of them, and you instantly know how to pronounce a word once you read it, no other options.

No jouaient (pronounced jhou-ay)?

Yup it's like that. I mean, sure the pronunciation of "c" changes whether it precedes an (a/o/u), an (e/i) or an (h). But it doesn't change on a case-by-case, word-by-word case like in english.

English is a horrible language to learn but its intricacies make it endlessly interesting as a writer.

As a french-english bilingual since birth I think english is rather simple to learn but as Sevengill said I find it a fascinating language (more than french) since it's extremely instinctive with the use of every word, yet complex and rich in meaning and in interpretation. English is kinda like a verbal fog you manage to grasp into from the inside (if that makes sense) and with all its multidimensional words its the feels of the person using the word that'll direct the meaning of them
French on the other hand is quite blunt and complexe in the meaning of its words (OvDeath wasn't very far off) but everything is established, thus it's an amazing language to express yourself in precision and nuance and so be understood. But I find it too cold and sharp on an emotional level
also something weird (that might tie in to what I'm saying) to me is that saying a quote in french always makes you seem like a pompous douche rehashing other thoughts, whereas in english it's much easier to claim a quote and delivering it in a cool personnal way

both languages are fairly beautiful in their sounds though, still I'd love french to have the stopping power of languages like german
