ok nerds, which CD issue of Bowie albums is the best? There are the originals by RCA (harder to find/more expensive), 1990 releases by Rykodisc (w/ bonus tracks) and the 1999 EMI 24 bit remastered editions (best(?) sound quality).

I've downloaded the EMI versions and think they sound great, but I've read very mixed responses about them. I've also heard a few of the Ryko editions, but didn't really notice that much difference between the two.

@ tempest--, interesting question, hard to say--depends on what you are looking for: http://blogcritics.org/the-myth-

of-remastering/ . . . I settled on the Rykodisc issue.

I think I will just stay with what I've got now (EMI remasters) because tbh the described differences don't bother me that much. Like the blog said, it's the music that matters!

Femme fatales emerged from shadows to watch this creature fair

Boys stood upon their chairs to make their point of view

I smiled sadly for a love I could not obey

Lady Stardust sang his songs of darkness and dismay
