OK, I’ve heard this like 5 times now, done some deep soul searching and this ain’t half bad tbh. Contender for my 2nd fave Fear Before. Some of the lyrics truly suck but that’s never been their strong point anyway.

still remember the crushing disappointment i felt on release day. i'm trying to get into this one more now that i'm on a Fear Before kick but it's still easily my least favourite. god it's so obnoxious at points.

i remember an interview where they basically implied that TAOM had been an arduous production process involving loads of tweaking so that when it came time for this they wanted to unwind a bit.
basically they just banged this one out without thinking too hard, hence why its such a drop in quality
some of the riffs still smash tho.

I love all Fear Before, but as I get older I tend to lean more towards their last two albums. This album is no TAOM, but I don't think it deserves all the hate it's gotten in it's 10+ year lifespan.
