its an awesome cd, i think this is the closest they've gotten to the sound they're looking for...which is old school swedish death metal reinvigorated by fresh production

At first, I didn't think this album was that great when compared to Resurrection Through Carnage or Nightmares Made Flesh, but once again, Bloodbath makes another great death metal. Also, being skeptical without Swano involved, but in the end, I had nothing to fear. I truly love the songs "Devouring the Feeble," "Hades Rising," "Slaughtering the Will to Live," and "Mock the Cross."

You didn't like Iesous? That's like one of my favorite tracks. That intro to it is killer

Tbh this album is a bit under appreciated, in my opinion. Mikael sounds great, and the guitars, if perhaps a bit too obviously Morbid Angel influenced, are still very well done and sound great. I agree that Axe isn't particularly interesting, but then he rarely is so I wasn't particularly let down by this. I don't usually listen to death metal for the drumming, anyways b/c it's generally terrible (except Immolation).

This isn't too bad. I was under the assumption that it was going to be mediocre.

Favourite element is easily the vocals. I like how "marching" and "anthem-like" they are, if that makes any sense...

Considering I had just listened to one of the band's EPs prior to this album, it seemed a little underwhelming to me at first. Nonetheless it still does a great job of continuing the band's musical style and attempting to make it sound better than ever before. The latter half of the album seems to fare better, since the earlier songs take longer to actually 'move'.
